An award winning design (ASLA Honors Award Urban Design 2022) explores the conversion of an abandoned city brownfield into an ecological industrial park within parkland. A stormwater system treats the local watershed and point source pollution to Compton Creek and a walk to work model provides local, living wage jobs for Watts residents. Spaces for cultural expression, community gathering, food production and art education with considered linkage to the community at large provides a holistic master plan. (RFP 2025).
